Four General Information Plaques on important aspects of the Botanical Garden installed – text and photographs furnished by the Save Rani Bagh Botanical Garden Foundation

Four large information boards (4 feet X 5 feet) on (i) the botanical garden, (ii) the heritage monuments and layout, (iii) the history of the park and (iv) the egalitarian aspect of the facility, with appropriate photographs have been installed at prominent locations in the botanical garden. We furnished the Marathi and English text and photographs for these boards and weighed in on the design aspects and are happy that the V.J.B. Botanical Udyan & Zoo authorities installed the information plaques, which enhance the educational appeal of the botanical garden.

Please note that the information plaques (photographs on sides) were installed prior to December 2022 when the official name of Rani Bagh was V.J.B. Udyan & Zoo and therefore the information boards carried the then official name. The Save Rani Bagh Botanical Garden Foundation’s proposal to change the name to add the term ‘botanical’ was accepted by the BMC on December 12, 2022 and the official name was changed to V.J.B. Botanical Udyan & Zoo.
